Warm Audio presents the WA-CX24, a large diaphragm stereo tube condenser microphone based on one of the most sought after stereo microphones in recording history. It was developed using the highest quality components, including two full brass CK12-style capsules and TAB-Funkenwerk USA output transformers to deliver the sought-after sound profile of the original. With independent directional control using two capsules, a full 180-degree capsule rotation and extensive stereo imaging options, the WA-CX24 delivers precise stereo realism with rich vintage tube sound.
WA-CX24 is designed to capture the spaciousness and character of the sought-after tube warmth found in classic recordings. For each capsule, the three traditional mono-directional patterns (sphere, kidney, eight) or one of the six intermediate patterns can be adjusted and the capsule can be rotated up to 180 degrees, making traditional stereo configurations such as XY, Blumlein and Mid-Side possible. This versatility allows for unmatched flexibility, whether its recording a whole room, tuned stereo vocals or ambient strings.
The WA-CX24 delivers tight bass, naturally rich mids and velvety soft highs, making it the ideal choice for stereo vocals, grand piano, acoustic instruments, percussion and more. Includes power supply, microphone spider, 9-pin Gotham GAC-9 cable, IEC power cord, custom wooden display box and a durable tweed flight case for studio or mobile use.
